Bhubaneswar: It was a ‘Sunday rejoice’ here for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as popular Ollywood comedian Harihar Mohapatra joined the national party at the Misrana Parva held at the party headquarters.
“I like BJP; its works, principles, ideology and strive towards the growth of Odisha. Politics is such a platform where I can get a plethora of opportunities to serve people,” said Harihar.
In a major setback to Congress, its former Angul district president Pratap Pradhan also joined the party in presence of petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other BJP leaders.
Several other leaders from Nayagarh and Nuapada districts also joined the saffron party.
Recently, General Secretary of the Biju Chhatra Janta Dal (BCJD) Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra joined BJP. Besides, more than 100 activists of Congress and BJD from Bhubaneswar, Banki, Niali and Ganjam had also joined the party.
