CM Naveen dedicates 1,100 check dams

Bhubaneswar: To mark Biju birth centenary celebration and completion of 80th year of formation of Odisha state, chief minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated 1,100 check dams at a state level function at the Secretariat here on Thursday.

According to sources, the chief minister dedicated these check dams via video conferencing during a special programme held at the conference room, adjacent to Rural Development department at the Secretariat.

All the check dams are constructed by the Water Resources department, sources added.

“I am really happy to dedicate 1,100 check dams for the farmers of our state. I hope these check dams will benefit them in increasing their production,” Patnaik said.
