Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The Centre will soon introduce a detention policy for students in classes 5 and 8 with an aim to inspire students and make them more innovative in their approach towards study. The Centre has already got consent of 25 states in this regard, said Union human resource development minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday.

A bill has been tabled in Parliament in this regard with the passing of which states can conduct examinations for students in Class 5 and 8 in March across all boards.
