City-based industrialist kidnapped

Bhubaneswar: A city-based industrialist, Deepak Swami, was allegedly kidnapped by some miscreants from Magnetic Square here on Tuesday.

Acting on the complaint by Deepak's wife, police have started investigation into the incident. She even met the Police Commissioner today.

The young businessman's father said he suspects threat to life of his son since the kidnappers have vented out their revenge based on previous business based enmity.

As per a complaint filed at the Infocity police station by his wife last night, Deepak has a factory in Choudwar area of Cuttack. Since the factory became defunct, some shareholders were threatening Deepak to return their money.

The complaint mentions that on Tuesday night, when he was returning home, the kidnappers followed him in two cars and abducted him.
