Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is neat and clean and so are the leaders of the party, said BJD leader and Panchayati Raj Minister Pradeep Maharathy today in reaction to the presence of Bipin Bihari Mishra at the book presentation ceremony of ‘The Tall Man Biju Patnaik’ held on 3rd February in Mumbai.
Mishra, who was earlier grilled by CBI in Seashore chit fund scam, was spotted sitting beside several BJD leaders including Health Minister Pratap Jena and party spokesperson Debasish Samantaray at the book presentation ceremony on Saturday.
His presence in the mega event raised many eyebrows as he was not only seated in the front row but also welcomed the Chief Minister to the event.
Earlier, Bipin Bihari Mishra was interrogated by CBI twice in January 2017 for his alleged links with Seashore Group.
Sources said Mishra was under CBI scanner for receiving a donation of Rs 1 lakh for his foundation from Seashore group in the past.
