Malkangiri: Six tribal villagers, including a couple of Malkangiri district who were forcefully picked up by the Chhattisgarh police three days ago were released today.
The Chhattisgarh police released the tribals after questioning them on Maoist links.
It may be mentioned here that the Sukma police of Chhattisgarh had picked up the six villagers of Mahupadar under Mathili police limits on May 21. After the Sukma attack, the Chhattisgarh police have become extra vigilant intensifying anti-Maoist operation.
