Bhubaneswar: A day after recording the statement of actress Sharmistha on her casting couch allegation against six persons in the Odia entertainment industry, Commissionerate Police recorded her statement under Sec 164 of IPC today.
On Monday, Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania had informed that Sharmistha had recorded her statement under Sec 161 of IPC.
Sharmistha had filed a complaint at the Mahila Police station against the six directorsa nd producers alleging they had made sexual advances on her and presented Facebook and WhatsApp chats to back her claim.
Following the complaint from the actress, Mahila Police on Monday served notices on six persons belonging to the Odia cine industry asking them to appear at the police station for questioning.
The notices were issued to directors Chandi Parija and Tapas Sargharia, producer Bini Samal, her husband Nihar Samal, producer Subrat Naik and event manager Bapi Jena.
