Bolangir: Abineet Parichha from Bolangir topped the Class-X Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE). A student of Little Flower School in Bolangir, Abineet scored 99.2 per cent.
After achieving this feat, Abineet told OTV that he wants to become a space scientist. “I am very happy with the results. I didn’t expect to score such high marks. I am happier because I scored beyond by expectations,” said Abineet.
"I want to dedicate this success to by parents and teachers who have always encouraged me. I used to study for 3-4 hours. As the exams neared and the classes were over, I devoted 5-6 hours to my studies. I want to become a space scientist and I have a penchant for research," Abineet stated.
The second position has been shared by four students- Sudarshan R (Bangalore), Isha Sethi (Mumbai), Manan Manish Shah (Kandivali) and Jyotsana Srivastava (Lucknow) who scored 99 per cent. The third position has been shared by 10 students with a score of 98.8 per cent.
A total of 1,68,591 students including over 75,000 girls appeared in the ICSE this year.
