Blaming EVMs for defeat in polls is like disrespecting EC, says Shah

Bhubaneswar: BJP chief Amit Shah today said blaming Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for defeat in polls is like disrespecting the Election Commission (EC).

Shah said Narendra Modi is the most popular leader today due to his extraordinary connect with the people, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad briefed media persons during the party's national executive meet in the Capital city.

"To blame the electronic voting machines for defeat during the elections is like disrespecting the Election Commission," Shah said.

Earlier in the day, Modi had led a roadshow and broke security protocol to step out of his vehicle to wave and shake hands with a frenzied crowd as he arrived here to attend the two-day BJP national executive meeting with saffron expansion in Odisha being its key agenda.
