Bubaneswar: Eyeing 2019 general elections, the Odisha BJP launched its ‘Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’ (my booth is the strongest) programme today to strengthen party base at grassroots level. Union minister Jual Oram kickstarted the campaign from Chandaka in Bhubaneswar.
Hundreds of tribal people joined the party on the occasion. “They received primary membership of the party by sending SMS. I educated them about Modi’s pro-people schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Swacha Bharat Abhiyan by which tribal citizens have been benefited most”, Oram said.
The BJP has planned to reach out to maximum people under the drive. As many as 10,000 party cadres will cover 36,000 booths across the State in the month-long programme to focus party base at village level, said Oram.
Apart from this exercise, the BJP has made all arrangements to hold road shows, rallies and public gatherings at 76 places in State under ‘Modi Fest’ and ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikash’ programmes to establish contact with voters and sensitise them about pro-people activities of Centre.
BJP national president Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Jajpur on June 22, Berhampur on 23 and Bhubaneswar on 24 to boost the workers’ morale under Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’. During his visit, he will be served traditional Odia cuisine at the houses of local people.
