Bhubaneswar: BJP MLA from Deogarh Nitesh Gang Dev on Tuesday lodged a FIR in connection with a fake Facebook account created in his name by some ‘unknown person.’
In his written complaint to Deogarh superintendent of police (SP), Nitesh has alleged that a fake Facebook account in his name has been created and the miscreant is seeking funds from individuals and societies.

“The creator of the fake Facebook account should be traced,” Nitesh wrote in his complaint.
According to Nitesh, it was only two to three days ago that he came to know about the fake Facebook account.
“Through the fake account opened in my name someone is seeking money from various sources by sending messages from the Facebook ID,” said Nitesh.
Earlier in July this year, a fake Facebook account had also created many problems for Ollywood actor Babusan.
Later, Panikoili police in Jajpur had arrested the fraudster from Khariar area of Nuapada district on charges of cheating people by impersonating as Babusan through a fake Facebook account.
