Cuttack: A scuffle ensued between police and BJP activists while the latter was trying to barge into the office of the Director General of Police in Cuttack today.
The saffron party members rallied from the Odia Bazaar protesting against the attack on its activists yesterday during the Bhubaneswar strike and attempted to break the cordon set up in front of the DGP office.
Alleging miscreants attacked the striking BJP activists after getting full cooperation from police, the BJP activists demanded immediate arrest of attackers and killers involved in the Rishi death, and resignation of Bhubaneswar Mayor Anant Narayan Jena.

Police personnel who were present at the spot foiled the attempt of the BJP members to intrude into the building and the tussle occurred.
Meanwhile, eight platoons of police force were deployed in front of the DGP office while another 18 platoons of police were stationed around the premises of the police headquarters.
