Sambalpur: After Bhubaneswar and Berhampur, the ruling BJD will be staging a demonstration in front of the office of Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) here today, protesting slashing of State’s kerosene quota.

Earlier on Tuesday, the party leaders including ministers, MLAs and other activists staged a dharna, led by Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare minister Sanjay Dasburma, in front of the RDC office in Berhampur. Several ruling party MLAs from Ganjam district and party functionaries, including Women and Child Welfare minister Usha Devi participated in the agitation. They submitted a memorandum to RDC (south), addressed to President Pranab Mukharjee. The protest was marked by rallies taken throughout the town showing placards against the decision of Centre.
