Balasore: Tension prevailed in Radua village in Talakurunia panchayat under Khantapada police limits of Balasore district after six bike-borne miscreants allegedly attacked three brothers of the village and looted cash and other valuables from them late on Tuesday night.
As per sources, the incident took place at around 12 pm last night when the three brothers Tailuk, Kartik and Keshab Behera were returning home from Bahanaga village. Suddenly six miscreants came in two pulsars and intercepted them. The miscreants first threatened them and later attacked them with sharp weapons.
This apart, they looted cash worth Rs 10000, a laptop, four mobile phones and the motor cycle the brothers were riding and fled the spot, sources said.
The trio was rushed to nearby Gopalpur hospital after a few locals noticed them lying on the road side in a pool of blood.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the assailants at the Gopalpur police station. "Three persons have been injured in the incident. They have sustained critical injuries in the head. We have registered a case. Further investigation is on and the absconding criminals will be nabbed soon," said a police official.
