Bhubaneswar to compete for World Smart City Awards

Bhubaneswar: Another good news for denizens of Bhubaneswar as the capital city has been selected as one of the finalists to compete for the World Smart City Awards to be held at Barcelona this month.

According to reports, Bhubaneswar has stood first in the list of the first batch of 20 cities that were selected to be developed as smart city under the flagship programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bhubaneswar had submitted its proposal to the evaluating committee of the World Smart City Awards organised by Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), sources in the Urban Development Ministry said.
