Talcher: Normal life came to a standstill in the Coal City due to a dawn-to-dusk bandh called by Talacher Suraksha Manch demanding fulfillment of their four-point charter of demands.
Members of the body blocked roads at many places bringing vehicular movement to a grinding halt in the district.
However, emergency services were spared from the purview of the shutdown.
According to sources, the members of the body called the 12-hour bandh demanding fulfillment of their four-point charter of demands, which include revival of FCI fertiliser factory and railway connection to Kanhia.
