Cuttack: Be it the spicy mutton and chakuli pitha or the rasaballi, Bali Jatra has plenty to offer, especially for the foodies to tickle their taste buds.
The week-long festival is now the favourite destination not only for the people in Cuttack but also visitors from other parts of the State who are now thronging the annual fair in large numbers.
A highest of over five lakh visitors had thronged the Bali Jatra on the second day on Sunday.

Over 300 stalls selling a number of delicacies including popular local cuisines –dahi bara, thunkapuri and other kiosks selling mouth watering non-vegetarian dishes like prawn and fish chops and mutton biriyan have come up at the fair.
Apart from local dishes, visitors are also getting ample opportunity to taste cuisines from other parts of the country including the Mohan-thaal, Chhole with rice, Dal Bati, Churma laddu and Jodhpuri Dahi bada.
The officials of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) have also constituted special squads to ensure proper hygiene is maintained in preparation and no stale food is served to visitors during the festival.
The squads have been instructed to conduct raids at food joints at regular intervals. As per official sources, nearly 2.5 quintals of stale food was seized and destroyed by the squads here on Monday.
