Puri: The Trinity are all set to return to their abode, the Srimandir, as chariots began to roll on Grand Road from Gundicha Temple on Bahuda Yatra today. The rituals, including Chhera Panhara, were completed one hour before scheduled time.

Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb was brought in a palanquin to the chariots after the Pahandi rituals were completed. The Puri Gajapati, known as the foremost servitor or royal servitor of Lord Jagannath, performed the traditional Chhera Panhara ritual in which he swept the floors of the three chariots, Nandighosha, Taladhwaja and Debadalana with a golden handle broom.

Thereafter, servitors immediately tied the respective horses to the chariots and began the Bahuda Yatra with the pulling of Lord Balabhadra's chariot.
