Berhampur:  They guard and whistle to put a check on open defecation in their village every day. Contributing to the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ in an innovative manner, a group of women have adopted such a novel way to create awareness on use of toilets at Ranajhali under Purusottampur in Ganjam.

The ‘Whistle Gang’ conducts patrol on a 3 km stretch on a road that connects the scared Tara Tarini shrine. Holding placards, the women activists prevent people to defecate in the open.
