Cuttack: A dengue patient of Khuntuni area died at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack today, taking the number of deaths in this premier government hospital in the state to eight.
The deceased, identified as Naba Kishore Behera, was a resident of Chhenakhia village in the district and had been admitted to the hospital on August 11.
When condition of Behera worsened, he was admitted to the Central ICU of the hospital. He breathed his last at 12 pm today.
“With this death, total eight dengue deaths occurred in the hospital so far,” said SCB Emergency Officer Bhubananda Moharana.
