Anna stresses on rural development

Bhubaneswar: Gandhiji said, the country cannot develop unless its villages have developed. But now-a-days, mostly the cities not the villages are on the path of development, social activist and anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare said here addressing a farmers’ conference ‘Jai Kishan Samavesh’ at PMG square organized by ‘Naba Nirman Krushak Sanghathan’, a farmers’ outfit.

The 72-year old Gandhian said though India got independence for last 66 years, the real democracy is yet to come. People are struggling for their basic rights till now. “A second freedom movement has already begun. Be prepared to go to jail for the interest of this country,” Anna told the gathering.

Anna concluded his speech saying “ I am living for the country and I will die by working for the country. I will continue my service for the country till my last breath.”
