Cuttack: The CBI today quizzed chief coordinator of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Daniel Rout for around three hours at the OCA office here in the much hyped age fudging scam.
A three-member team of the central probe agency also seized some documents from Rout. Some other fficials of the association were also interrogated.
Rout, who is the academy coach of the junior cricket team, is suspected to have played a role in the manipulation of the age.
The team had also visited the OCA office and verified documents on Tuesday. The team had also questioned some players. Besides, the CBI team had also quizzed staff of two city-based private nursing homes, where bone age assessment test of the players was conducted and verified the documents.
It was alleged that 36 players including OCA CEO Bidyut Nayak's son Subham Nayak manipulated their age to play under-19 matches.
Notably, on Monday, the probe team had also visited Cuttack Municipal Corporation office and checked the birth certificates of the 36 players.
The OCA secretary Asirbad Behera has claimed that the state cricket body will not support any wrongdoing and will cooperate with the probe team.
