Ganjam: An acid-laden tanker developed leakage after colliding with a truck on NH-16 near Gopalpur in Ganjam district early this morning.
On being informed, fire personnel from Berhampur rushed to the spot and rescued the truck driver, who was trapped inside the steering of the vehicle.
Fire officials disposed the acid on ground to avoid any untoward incident.
The driver of the truck who has received serious injuries in the mishap has been admitted to a nearby hospital.
