Bhubaneswar: In a major proposal to boost Aadhaar enrolment and facilitate its registration, Odisha government today announced introduction of Aadhaar registration Kendras in panchayat level of every district.
Chief Secretary AP Padhi, during a meeting at the Secretariat revealed that the private enrolment operating centres will not be engaged for registration here on with the establishment of registration centres in each panchayat.
As per reports, till now 94 per cent of the total people have enrolled their names and registered themselves under Aadhaar. About 82 per cent school children and 60 per cent Anganwadi children have been registered, sources added.
Padhi further stated that in the next three four months the number of people registering themselves under Aadhaar is likely to increase.
