70-yr-old dowry torture lady accused paraded from court to jail

Bhadrak: In an instance of human rights violation by the Tihidi police, a 70-year-old woman was allegedly paraded to the Bhadrak jail after her bail plea was rejected by a local court in a dowry torture and murder case today.

The elderly woman, Bharti Pati, was asked to walk for half kilometre from the court to the jail. She was arrested in the dowry torture and murder case in the court two days back.
