7-year-old raped by tuition teacher in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Despite stringent laws, there seems to be no check on crime against girls and women as a 7-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her tuition teacher in Kendrapara district on Friday evening.

According to reports, the accused teacher Ganesh Nayak misbehaved and later raped the minor girl after the tuition class yesterday.

The matter came to light after some neighbours rushed to the spot after hearing the screams of the girl.

The minor girl's family detained the accused teacher and handed him to police.

Nikirai police have detained the accused teacher who has also confessed to his crime.
