6 hurt in ambulance-pick up van collision in Rayagada

Rayagada: Six persons were injured when an ambulance hit a stationary pick-up van from behind near Siliguda in the wee hours today.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and their conditions are stated to be stable.

The mishap occurred when the ambulance carrying the six persons including a patient on its way to the Rayagada district hospital hit the stationery pick-up van laden with broilers from behind.

The collision impact was so severe the front side of the ambulance vehicle has broken into pieces.
