Koraput/Bhubaneswar: Four migrant labourers of Kebidi village of Borigumma block in Koraput district were killed near Egmore railway station in Tamil Nadu, the Koraput police said today.

The deceased, identified as Bhaskar Jani, Kumar Kuldeep, Gorkha Muduli, Keshaba Jani, had gone to the southern State for work. While crossing the railway line near Egmore railway station on their way to the workplace, they were hit by a train yesterday.

While three of them died on the spot, another person succumbed to his injuries soon after his admission in a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s Office has asked the Koraput District administration to ensure that the bodies are handed over to the families at their house.

Earlier in the day, a police team reached Kebidi village and showed photos of the victims to the family members to identify and informed them  about the incident.
