Bargarh: A three feet deep sinkhole developed on the middle of the road on National Highway-53 near Brahmachari village in the district is not only causing inconvenience but also posing threat to commuters.
After the sinkhole was discovered, locals blocked the highway due to which hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both sides of the road. Locals under the banner of Bargarh Highway Users Forum staged a protest demanding repair of the road immediately.
Though no accident occurred due to the sinkhole created in the middle of the Kolkata-Mumbai NH, the forum alleged poor quality work by the contractor.
