Bhubaneswar: Seats at engineering colleges in the State are likely to fall vacant this year as well due to a dismal number of students registering for the JEE Main entrance so far. OJEE Chairman Tushar Kant Nath informed only 22,500 students have registered for the all-India entrance test so far.

As per the AICTE guidelines seats at engineering institutes that were taking less than 30% admission in past five years will be halved. Nath said if this is implemented in the State, vacant seats issue will be solved.
