20 houses gutted in Dhenkanal village

Dhenkanal: Nearly 20 houses were gutted and property worth lakhs of rupees destroyed in a major fire that broke out at Narendrapur village in Odapada block on Monday night.

However, there was no loss of life due to the fire.

Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

On being informed about the incident, local Revenue Inspector (RI) and tehsildar reached the spot and started assessing the loss.

The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
