2 school girls commit suicide in Bolangir

Bolangir: Two minor girls allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves in separate incidents in Dunguripada village under Town police limits of Bolangir district on Sunday.

A class IX girl of Navajeevan Bidyapitha School was found hanging from the ceiling of a house in the morning. A similar case was reported in the afternoon when the classmate of the deceased of the same village allegedly killed herself. On being informed, police recovered the bodies and have launched a probe into the matter.

“An unnatural death case has been registered in this regard. The bodies have been seized and sent for post-mortem. Reason of their suicide can be ascertained only after investigation,” said Gokula Nanda Sahu, IIC of Bolangir Town Police Station.
