2 kids killed over suspected sorcery in Mayurbhanj, 3 detained

Bhubaneswar: Bodies of two children, who were missing for the last three days, were recovered from Jhipabandha village under Badampahada in Mayurbhanj district here on Saturday.

It is suspected that both the children, identified as Jagannath and Sashank, have been allegedly murdered over suspected witchcraft as their necks have been slit.

According to reports, the wife and two sons of Madhusudan Sinka were missing from Tuesday. However, the decomposed bodies of the kids were recovered from nearby forest in the wee hours today.

Police said that Madhusudan’s wife is still untraceable while three persons have been detained and further investigation in connection with the incident is on.
