Kuchinda: Normal life was affected in Bamara of Sambalpur district today due to a 12-hr bandh observed by locals demanding appointment of permanent doctors at the Gobindpur community health centre (CHC).
Buses passing through Bamara were off the roads while residents preferred staying back in house as shops were also shut during the dawn-to-dusk strike.
Sitting legislator, former MLA and other local people’s representatives also lent their support to the bandh.
The agitators demanded a solution to CHC issues that includes presence of doctors, medicine and other necessary items.
