1 PLFI member from Odisha killed, 2 others injured in gunfight with Jharkhand police

Sundergarh: A member of the ultra outfit Peoples Liberation Front of India (PLFI) from Odisha was killed and two others were injured in an encounter by Jharkhand police.

The deceased PLFI member has been identified as Luthar Dang of Raibagar and the injured- Prafula Kispeta and Pramod Lakra hail from Lefripada in Sundergarh district.

PLFI is a breakway faction of the banned CPI (Maoist), sources said.

The encounter took place after security personnel rushed to the spot in following a tip off about PLFI members' movement in a dense forest area near Odisha border.
