1 killed in accident in Khurda; locals stage road blockade

Khurda: Vehicular movement on Khurda-Banki road disrupted as locals staged a road blocked after a person was killed in an accident near Guonpur area under Begunia police station on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Pruna Chandra Sahoo.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident took place while Sahoo was crossing the road. An unknown vehicle hit him and fled, sources said.

A seriously injured Sahoo rushed to Khurda district headquarters hospital where he died while undergoing treatment, sources added.
