Bhubaneswar: Blast Furnaces of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) have set a new record by making 7451 Tons of Hot metal on March 29 which is the best ever production figure for any single day since inception.

The earlier record of 7421 Tons of Hot Metal was created on February 12, RSP sources said. One significant aspect of the record breaking performance was that all the Blast Furnaces performed equally well for achieving the sterling production.

CEO, RSP, G S Prasad along with executive director (works), S N Roy visited the department and congratulated the employees for their outstanding performance.
