Bhubaneswar: BJP Odisha in-charge D Purandeswari on Wednesday lashed out at the Odisha government over the brutal murder of two party leaders in Mahanga in Cuttack district.
“Our party workers were brutally murdered for exposing corruption in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The incident has reflected the laxity in maintaining the law and order situation in the State. It has also exposed that the Odisha government is mired in corruption,” she said.
She further said that the BJP has plans to strengthen the party organisation by reaching out to the district level.
On the other hand, Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi, who also arrived in Bhubaneswar today, said, "Odisha is a mineral-rich State. Whatever demand was placed before me, Modi-led govt resolved it in true spirit of cooperative federalism. I urge the State govt to utilise the central fund towards increasing mineral production, especially iron ore."
