Odisha: 2 Including Minor Killed As Dumper Collides With Bike In Jaleswar

Balasore: In a tragic incident, two persons including a minor boy were killed when a speeding dumper knocked down their motorcycle on State Highway 57 near Satasulia area under Kamarda police limits in the district on Sunday morning.

Upon receiving the information by some passersby, police reached the spot,and rushed the victims to the nearby hospital where they were declared dead on arrival. The bumper has been seized and a case has been registered against the errant driver.

Meanwhile, tension gripped the area following the accident. Irate villagers blocked the Jaleswar-Chandaneswar main road and demanded immediate arrest of the accused driver who fled the spot immediately after the accident.

In another incident, three members of a family at Sathighara in Keonjhar Old Town area sustained critical injuries after a truck rammed into their house on Saturday night.

According to reports, the incident occurred late last night, when a little girl and her parents were asleep at their home. The trio have been shifted to the district headquarters hospital in critical conditions.

Police have registered a case and seized the truck. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
