At least 15 passengers injured as bus overturns in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: At least 15 persons were injured after a passenger bus in which they were travelling overturned on NH-16 near Dhamnagar Chhak in Bhadrak today. A massive rescue operation was launched as several passengers were trapped inside the bus.

Sources said there were nearly70 passengers in the bus which was on its way to Balasore from Bhubaneswar. Though the exact reason of the mishap is still unclear, it is suspected that the mishap occurred after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.

Police and fire services personnel reached the spot to carry out rescue operation.

Meanwhile, the injured passengers have been shifted to Bhadrak hospital and more details in connection with mishap are awaited.
