Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar broke a 73 year record when the maximum temperature went up to 44.2 degree Celsius on Wednesday, the highest recorded temperature for the month of March ever since its formation as the State Capital in 1948. The Temple City was the hottest place in the State as well.

The previously recorded maximum temperature for the month was 42.2 Deg C on March 21, 2016, informed the Regional Meteorological Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD).
