No sooner the house started for the day, nearly 12-15 members of the Opposition stormed into the well with placards demanding Rs 300 per quintal bonus for paddy farmers. The members raised slogans against the ruling government’s ‘step motherly’ attitude towards the farmers of the state and tried to stall the house with stomping their feet.

Despite protest by the Opposition members, the speaker managed to run the question hour for nearly 20 minutes before adjourning the house till 3 pm.
