Malkangiri: Anti-Maoist posters condemning killing of a man on May 15, were spotted at Mahupadar village here today.
The posters put up in the name of 'Sampurna Hinsamukta Odisha Abhiyan' threatened the ultras to refrain from such violent acts in future and appealed for a Maoists-free state.
On May 15, a group of red rebels killed one Jagdish Samarth, on suspicion of being police informer.
The rebels killed the laborer by slitting his throat with sharp weapon in broad daylight at Temurapalli village under Mathali police station here.
Earlier on Tuesday, Maoist leader Basant Kumar released an audio tape threatening to attack policemen for killing two of their cadres. Notably, two extremists, Sanjeeb and Rakesh were killed during an exchange of fire with security forces near Dudukamal under Belpada block in Bolangir district on May 12.
He appealed the locals to oppose anti-Maoist operations by the Central and State Governments and threatened to punish those working as police informers.
