Allotment scam: CDA serves notices to 38

Cuttack: As a part of the probe into the irregularities in the allotment of plots/houses under the Discretionary Quota, the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) today issued show-cause notices to another 38 beneficiaries. Earlier yesterday, CDA issued notices to 90 such beneficiaries in two phases.

Till now the authority has sent show-cause notices to a total of 158 beneficiaries. Yesterday CDA had sent 24 files to the Vigilance department to take stringent action against beneficiaries who had availed multiple plot/flat under discretionary quota.

As per the report of the Special Task Force formed by the State government, the CDA had earlier sent files of 167 beneficiaries who had taken multiple flats and houses under the quota. Till date, the department has taken 191 files from CDA while sending out show-cause notices to 30 beneficiaries.
