Bhubaneswar: Amidst talks about Ollywood actor-comedian Papu Pom Pom's re-admission to hospital and death doing rounds in social media since a last few days, the actor today appealed everyone to refrain from spreading such false news. The actor also informed that he is absolutely fine and recovering.
"There have been frequent reports on social media regarding my death. However, those who are circulating such fake messages of my death are only adding numbers to my age. And I thank them a lot,” stated Papu through a video message.
Further revealing that he actually visited AIIMS in New Delhi for routine check-up, Papu said," I do not think that I have to inform people in social media and other platforms about what I do in my personal life.”
“I was and will be there with you all and I request people to abstain from spreading false news,” appealed Papu to his fans.
In May, the actor was airlifted to AIIMS in New Delhi after spending nearly three days in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Later on July 10, he returned to Odisha after undergoing treatment at AIIMS for about two months.
It may be noted that rumours of Papu's death had surfaced on social media earlier when he was undergoing treatment at AIIMS.
