According to sources, the five-year-old white tiger has reportedly fallen sick since Sunday and a team of doctors have been carrying out necessary treatment of the big cat.

However, allaying any fears of herpes virus, zoo deputy director Jayant Das said various body samples of the tiger have been sent for laboratory examination and the exact reason behind its sickness can only be ascertained after the health report. It is stated that Subhranshu is suffering from indigestion possibly due to liver-related problems.

Earlier last month, a tigress named Priyanka succumbed to age-related sickness at the zoo.
