Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday directed the State Principal Accountant General to audit accounts of 61 noted shrines across the State.

According to a notification issued by the Law Department, the State Principal Accountant General has been asked to audit accounts of 61 famous shrines across the State exercising the powers conferred under Sub-section (3) of Section (58) of Odisha Hindu Religious Endowment Act, 1951.
