Nuapada: At least six persons were injured in a mishap during a 'Maut Ka Kuan (the well of death)' stunt show at Sinapali of Nuapada district today.
The incident occurred at around 8: 30 PM when a portion of the elevated platform created for viewers collapsed. As a result, 6 spectators who were watching the stunt show fell inside the well.
Out of the six injured person, four who sustained critical injuries have been shifted to Bhawanipatna and Nuapada hospitals.
Sources said that 'Maut Ka Kuan' programme was being organised at a Meena Bazaar in Sinapali.
Inspector-in-charge of Sinapali Police Station, Jyotiranjan Gauda informed that the ‘Maut Ka Kuan’ stunt show was being organised illegally.
In May 2017, a stunt biker was killed during a Maut Ka Kuan (Well of Death) show in Jeypore of Koraput district.
