Balasore: At least 35 tourists and pilgrims from West Bengal were injured, five of them seriously, when the bus in which they were proceeding to Puri hit a truck near here early today, police said.

The bus from Danton area of Midnapur district of West Bengal was on its way to the seashore town when the mishap occured near Bampada on NH-5, about six km from here, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kailash Parida said.

The injured have been admitted to the district headquarter hospital here. The condition of five persons was stated to be serious, police said.
