Jagatsinghpur: One person lost his life while another suffered critical injuries in a road accident near Athanga on Jagatsinghpur-Paradip road yesterday night.
The deceased has been identified as Bibekanand Das and the injured person is Jyotiranjan Sathua. According to sources, both of them were returning to their village from Cuttack on a bike yesterday night when the two-wheeler lost its balance and hit a temple located on the roadside.
Subsequently, some locals reached the spot and admitted both of them in a critical condition to SCB Medical & College in Cuttack where Das was declared dead.
As per latest reports, Sathua continues to remain critical.
